This piece of Indigenous jewellery has been laser-engraved, a precise and intricate process that allows artisans to bring designs to life with exceptional detail and durability. Each piece is carefully crafted from the initial sketch, through laser programming and engraving, to final cleaning and polishing.

Created by Art Sterritt (Myanxa), a Gitxsan artist from Prince Rupert, BC. Trained as a carver and printmaker at 'Ksan, an historic village, museum, and art school near Gitanmaax, he studied under renowned Gitxsan artists Walter Harris and Earl Muldoe. Art continues to create ceremonial headdresses and totem poles, preserving and sharing the cultural artistry of the Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en peoples.
