Tom Whonnock is a ’Namgis First Nation artist from Alert Bay, BC. Born in 1955, he began woodcarving at the age of fifteen and honed his craft under Godfrey Hunt. Working primarily in pine, he creates plaques, masks, trays, bowls, and totem poles.
