Tom Whonnock is a ’Namgis First Nation artist from Alert Bay, BC. Born in 1955, he began woodcarving at the age of fifteen and honed his craft under Godfrey Hunt. He works primarily in pine and creates plaques, masks, trays, bowls, and totem poles.
